Evergreen Soil and Water Conservation District will once again be able to offer a $1,000.00 college scholarship to a Smyth County student. The winning applicant(s) will also be eligible for an additional statewide scholarship of $1,000.00. The purpose of the scholarship is to promote the education of Virginia citizens in technical fields with natural resource conservation and environmental protection.

To qualify the students must be full-time students enrolled in or who have applied to a college freshman level curriculum. Applicants shall either be in the top 20% of their graduating class or have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Applicants will also need to fill out an application, have at least three letters of recommendation, and a send a copy of an official school transcript by February 26, 2018 4:00 pm to the Evergreen office in Marion.
